[-Poem-] : The Beaten Child's Plea

I lay in my bed, as still as i can be
Laying in utter silence
So that they won't notice me
I pretend to be asleep
Some where far away in a dream
Because when they think I'm asleep
That's the only time I'm free
My name is Carrie
I'm 8 years old.
I cook, I clean
I do what I'm told.
My grades are good.
Mostly A's
And if I only cry 4 times then it's been a good day.
My life is simple,
Yet no one can see,
That I live in a broken home
Where two parents beat on me.
Daddy hits and yells
and then Mommy takes a turn.
Screaming the whole time
That I'm getting what I deserve
Mommy uses her fist,
While Daddy uses a belt
They take turns in taking breaks
While my beating's being dealt
I try my best not to cry,
or at least not let them see
Because if they see a single tear,
That's just more beating for me.
At night I lay in my bed, a sheet which lay on the floor,
I lay there shaking and crying, while shivering in the cold.
I peek round the corner,
Mommy is drinking again.
Daddy takes a drink,
then hands her the bottle labeled 'Gin'
I sit against the while,
as silent as I can be,
I needed a drink of water,
But didn't want to risk them seeing me.
I glance down at me body,
the cuts and bruises down my arm,
Then I crawl back into my bed before I cause more harm
I lay there and I think ,
every princess is saved by a knight,
But no one ever comes to save me,
And In a world of so many cry's,
No one heads A Beaten Child's Plea

Flaming is against the rules here on Broken Forums, it's one of the very few rules that Seppie set for the users, constructive critisizm is always welcomed by an artists but what you're doing is plain rude and indecent. I suggest reviewing all of your posts on here before Seppie sees.
